Amy Winehouse Found Dead At Her North London Home (14/9/83-23/7/2011) R.I.P.

The sad news has broke that Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her North London home. The singers death is as yet unexplained.

So sad to hear this, she was such a talented singer, but unfortunately she had a lot of personal problems and struggled with drug and alcohol abuse.

R Kelly Hospitalised After Throat Surgery

RnB singer R Kelly has been hospitalised indefinitely after having throat surgery. The singer was rushed in to theatre after an absess was discovered on one of his tonsils.

This definitely isn't a good look as it could possibly affect his singing voice. Hopefully he makes a full recovery as soon as possible. I will keep you all informed of his progress.

Chris Breezy To Release Hip Hop Mixtape

Chris Brown is taking his love of hip hop to the next level by releasing a brand new mixtape that will be filled with nothing but the genre.

The r&b/pop star announced plans to release the all hip hop mixtape titled 'Boy In Detention'. No official release date has been announced but the singer says it is “coming soon.”
Knowing fans might question his hip hop abilities, Chris followed the announcement up with a disclaimer. “And people… Yes I’m a singer so if this mixtape doesn’t reach your quota for hip hop! Simply don’t listen..”

While this will be Chris’ first foray into an all hip hop mixtape, it isn’t his first attempt at jumping into the genre. Brown has been releasing rap freestyles titled "Real Hip Hop Shit'' and has featured hip hop prominently on his last two mixtape, Fan Of A Fan (with Young Money rapper Tyga) and In My Zone 2.

Victoria and Harper Seven

The Beckhams have finally revealed the first pictures of the newest arrival to the Beckham clan, Harper Seven. The pics appeared via Twitter and Facebook.

Victoria also broke down the mean of the newborns name. 'Harper' is the name of the author Harper Lee who wrote her favourite book 'To Kill A Mocking Bird', and 'Seven' as it represents spiritual perfection and good luck.

Posh And Becks Give Birth To A Baby Girl...

... And have named her 'Harper Seven'. Harper is a popular name in the States, whilst seven was David's squad number during his Manchester United playing days.


The newest edition to the Beckham family and first girl, was born on Sunday in LA after Victoria had a c-section.

In a statement on his Facebook page, former England captain Beckham said-

"I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham.

"She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx."

There have been mixed thoughts on the baby's name, but I like it! It's different from the everyday stuff you here.

Black Eyed Peas To Take 'Indefinite' Break

Will.I.Am, Fergie and the other two (ONLY JOKING...), Taboo and Apl.de.ap will take an indefinite group break when they finish the European leg of their world tour.

The group have said they want to take a well earned break and just relax with family etc...

The break may also give the main members (Will and Fergie) time to focus on other ventures such as solo albums, starting a family, oh... and Cheryl Cole lol.

The Peas will play their last show on July 14th in Madrid. Their current album, "The Beginning," has sold over 650,000 copies in the US alone to date.

Somehow I think we'll see a lot of Will whilst the group is on hiatus.

Considering we all got a copy, it's not gonna be worth much in the future is it?

So after all their dirty dealings the NOTW went to print for one final time. As well as current news, the final edition spoke ab out how they made history, some of the big stories they broke (???), how they saved the world from paedo's and evil criminals, oh and how they gave many page 3 models their big break.


Some News Of The World Facts-

• The newspaper was first published as The News of the World on 1 October 1843, in London by John Browne Bell. Priced at just three pence (equal to £1.04 today).

• The News of the World was a national tabloid newspaper published in the United Kingdom.

• The newspaper passed into the hands of Rupert Murdoch's News Ltd. in 1969, snatching the paper from Robert Maxwel's Pergamon Press after an acrimonious year-long struggle. Maxwell's foreign origin, combined with his political opinions, provoked a hostile response to his bid from the Carrs and from the editor of the News of the World, Stafford Somerfield, who declared that the paper was—and should remain—as British as roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.

• The newspaper was published by News Group Newspapers of News International, itself a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, and was the Sunday sister paper of The Sun.

• The newspaper concentrated on celebrity-based scoops and populist news.

• The paper's fondness for sex scandals gained it the nicknames "News of the Screws" and "Screws of the World". It had a reputation for exposing national or local celebrities as drug users, sex freaks or criminals, setting up insiders and journalists in disguise to provide either video or photographic evidence, and phone hacking in ongoing police investigations.

• Sales averaged 2,812,005 copies per week in October 2010. On 16 September 2010, it was announced that the online website of the paper would be placed behind a paywall

• It was announced on 7 July 2011 that, after 168 years in print, the newspaper will print its final edition on 10 July 2011 following revelations of the ongoing phone hacking scandal, with the loss of 200 jobs. The paper has announced that all proceeds from the final edition will go to "good causes", and advertising space will be given to charities.

• The 10 July 2011 edition of the News of the World carried its final headline, "Thank You and Goodbye", superimposed on top of a collage of past front pages. The back cover featured quotes from George Orwell in 1946, and a recent quote from a NotW reader, Jeanne Hobson. The final edition also included a 48-page pullout documenting the history of the paper. On 9 July 2011, after production of the final edition wrapped, editor Colin Myler led the staff out of the building, where he held a press conference thanking the staff and its readers, concluding, "In the best tradition, we are going to the pub."

There is speculation that News International will launch a Sunday edition of The Sun to replace the News of the World, as an Arsenal fanatic and someone who didn't buy NOTW everyweek, I think The Mirror is better for sports coverage anyway.

There are those who will miss it a bit more than me though. Like Jeanne Hobson had a quote printed on the back of the paper saying-

"I have read this paper since I was old enough to read newspapers. I'm 68 now. I cannot imagine Sundays without you. I will always remember The News Of The World for the good things you have brought to light. I'm sad to say goodbye to my Sunday favourite."

A 'source' told the Sun Newspaper-

"Jay has been making the most of his trip over here. It's not often he is overwhelmed by people when he meets them, but Adele was on top form as usual. She talked him under the table. He was chuckling all the way through their chat. "

"He's keen to work with her, whether it's producing or writing together. She was a huge hit in the States and he believes they could make a massive record together."


I really like Adele, as both an artist and a person (plus she's from the endz). She's already a global star, imagine what a Jay-Z co-sign could do for her...????

No More News Of The World...

After Sunday that is...


News International chairman James Murdoch said-

"Having consulted senior colleagues, I have decided that we must take further decisive action with respect to the paper. This Sunday will be the last issue of the News of the World. Colin Myler will edit the final edition of the paper. In addition, I have decided that all of the News of the World's revenue this weekend will go to good causes."


Mr Murdoch added-

"While we may never be able to make up for distress that has been caused, the right thing to do is for every penny of the circulation revenue we receive this weekend to go to organisations - many of whom are long-term friends and partners - that improve life in Britain and are devoted to treating others with dignity."


This is what happens when you hack people's shit!!

Didn't think the paper would get by with only advertising Dark & Lovely products and KFC lol...
