Kolo Toure was yesterday suspeneded by the club for a failed drugs test. The player will take no further part in training and matches until further investigations are finished.
Toure's former manager,
Arsene Wenger today said he has spoken to the Ivory Coast international and he told him that the
'specified substance' found in the test is from one of his wife's dietry pills and was an honest mistake.
The Frenchman was quoted saying-
"It is a complete surprise, I had Kolo Toure here for years, I brought him to England. He is a boy who has a clean life, very honest living, always at home and a family man.
I do not suspect him at all to have taken drugs to enhance his performance.
I just think it is a mistake by forgetting to ask ‘can I take that?' He wants to control his weight a little bit because that's where he has some problems and he took the product of his wife.
I think it is a mistake and he was not cautious enough. I don't think there's a desire there to do something wrong and hide it."

Kolo, this would never of happened if you hadn't caught maleria at the
African Nations Cup a few years ago, lost form, got outshon by
William Gallas the last few seasons you was with us and subsequently sold to Citeh for 14 times more than what we originally paid for you!
