Weekend Round-Up

The snow arrived this weekend to cement the F*CKERY COLD WEATHER that we are being subjected to of late! With christmas also under a month away that Coca Cola truck ad is now on tv and supermarkets are trying to undercut each other on Celebrations/Roses and Quality Street tubs.

Channel 4 screened the Birmingham/British film '1 Day' this week and I honestly can't remember the last time I caught so much jokes with my Twitter folk! Shout out to @Madnewsblog and @XianLoves. A lot of people didn't have anything good to say about it, but I enjoyed it when I first saw a while back. Also, if you check out the DVD extras you'll see that the actors in the film are doing a lot of positive work for their communities...

Boom Boom (my daughter) was with Granddad for the weekend so I figured I'd take advantage and get back on the socialising scene as I'd be able to lay in on Saturday and Sunday morning. If I had to choose some choice statements to describe the parties on Friday and Saturday night/early morning they would be- (insert alcoholic beverage here) _________ & Red Bull, bashment songs I've never heard and don't care to again, dark skinned Nicki Minaj and Sagitarian birthday celebrations.

Now I know I may sound like a hypocrite, but I logged back on to X Factor this week, mainly to see who would go and let's just say justice was served!

My prediction for the final three is Matt (minus the wife-beater), One Direction (who met their inspiration this week Justin Bieber) and 'stiff as hell' Rebecca.

My boys (THE MIGHTY ARSENAL) got back to winning ways after a week to forget, Berbatov sent Man U to the top of the table with 5 goals against Blackburn whilst Chelsea lost ground up at Newcastle. This week an incredible 41 goals were scored in the premiership.

A lot of new music this week with albums from Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Miguel, Black Eyed Peas, Jasmine Sullivan, and mixtapes from Marsha Ambrosius, Chris Breezy and Trey Songz. Make sure you check out my album reviews at http://socialwriters.blogspot.com/...

E4's Phoneshop To Return In 2011

The hilarious Phoneshop is set to return to our screens in 2011 for a second series after impressing the powers that be at E4.

The British Comedy Guide reports that-

'The comedy earned the re-commission after achieving strong ratings during its recent run. It averaged 739,000 viewers across the six episodes that made up Series 1."

TNKN ALERT!!!: Angry Birds Coming To A Console Near You Soon!!

Whilst listening to Radio 1Xtra today I heard that the iPhone favourite Angry Birds, will be coming to a gaming console near you soon!

This is the first time a game has made the jump from phone to console (as it's usually the other way around). I can't begin to tell you about the countless hours i've spent frustrating myself on some of the many levels of this game.

It's going to be interesting to see how Angry Birds does on a major console level.

Funkmaster Flex Responds To Tupac Diss Video

Funk Flex took to the airwaves to address the video that surfaced of him at a show dissing Tupac and saying he f*cks with B.I.G. 'Pac obviously has a lot of devout fans who would and are obviously upset by his statement. End of the day everyone is entitled to their opinion, I myself wasn't the biggest 'Pac fan as I too preferred Biggie, but I respected 'pacs talent and the affect he had on hip hop culture as a whole.

Hopefully this blows over soon,even thought The Outlawz have released a diss track.

21 Seconds 2011?

Soooooo... After the release of 'POW 2011' by Lethal Bizzle, RWD magazine are reporting that So Solids' Megaman took to his Twitter this weekend to say that he will be releasing a 2011 version of the number one hit '21 Seconds'.

No word of who will feature on the remake just yet but, this could be an interesting one!

Looks like Lethal has started a trend that could possibly be a good look for the UK music scene, especially with a Christmas number one up for for grabs.

Weekend Round-Up

First off I have to congratulate Prince William and his future bride, Kate Middleton who announced their engagement this week. We thank you in advance for the extra bank holiday...



This weekend I took my daughter Boom Boom to her God-sisters' Pizza Hut party so, my weekend consisted of dirty napp8ies, bottles, crazy kids, non-stop ice cream and party bags...

Beatles week on the X Factor, and I think One Direction killed it! Cher didn't rap, Cheryl tried to move to Wagner *Love Shack* and Katie went to market and purchased a wig and Rebecca continues to put me to Zzzzzzzz

I'm predicting Matt, Cher and One Direction to be in the final and i'll stop my prediction there...

As much as it hurts me to say this, I have to give Tottenham their props for their fight back from 2-0 down to beat us 2-3 at home. As usual, we didn't kill of the game when we had the chance and we were punished. On a brighter note, Chelsea also lost to Birminghm so that lightened the load...

Weekend Round-Up

Another winter weekend has passed in good ole London town. My travels took me to Oxford Circus this weekend, but my trip was a failed one! Size- DEAD, H&M- Dead, Vans Store- DEAD, Zara- OKAAAAY-ish.

I get the feeling that the stores are preparing early for the sales, hence the fact that there isn't much new stock about! I've never really been a big fan of sales as it's just the same stuff you see from Aug/Sep, but at a fraction of the price. I also don't have the patience to ruffle through rails and rails of clothes with bargain hunters.

Think I'll be shopping from the comfort of my home online...

Those jammy Mancs' came from 2-0 at Villa to secure a point, the other Mancs' failed to score against the Brummies, Liverpool's little revival ended at Stoke and those DIRTY YIDS put 4 past Big sam's Blackburn. Meanwhile, sunderland beat Chelski extremely convincingly AND... my boys (after a shaky 4 minutes extra time), secured 3 pts away to Everton to go above Man U and close the gap at the top to two points. I'm loving our away form of late!

(Big exhale...) The X Factor sagas continues to rumble on after a week off newspaper headlines/scandals! I was out celebrating my homeboys birthday so, I didn't see the show and can't really comment. I'm guessing though that, Paije shimmied through his performance, One Direction continued to dance by numbers, Cher made everyone feel sorry for her, Katie trembled and Wagner ('LOVE SHACK') mumbled through some Carry On film tune... I don't even care who goes this week to be honest *bbm not interested* face

Have to admit I missed Phoneshop last Thursday, but that blow was softened by the return of MiSFiTS. I'm looking forward to how this season unfolds.

MJ's 'Michael' LP Artwork Released

This picture for the posthumous 'Micheal' LP was released on the net over the last couple of days.

A press release from the late King of Pop’s representatives has revealed that the first track, 'Breaking News,'  is a never-before-heard song recorded in 2007 that was recently completed by the albums producers.

The new song will be streamed on the singers website from Monday 8th November, for ONE WEEK ONLY!!!

This will be the late star’s first album since Invincible in 2001. I hope this album isn't just a scheme to make money whilst putting out below par material from an artist who has sadly passed away which, has been done in the past.
