THE 2010 TNKN NERD AWARDS!!!

As 2010 comes to an end, it's only right that we reflect on everything that was good in music, TV and media and hand out a few NERDies...

The following awards have been given to the people I personally feel deserve to get them! I understand my views will not be shared by everyone, but... I DON'T CARE!!! I mean no disrespect to your favourite/MC/Singer, feel free to comment, it's all in good fun!

With that said, LET US BEGIN>>>

Big Sean- Signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music imprint. The LA born MC is sick with the word play, delivery and story telling! Gonna be massive trust me.

AKS- The South East London MC has been on my radar for over a year now, after winning the Cordless Shows 'People's Vote' he has been putting the finishing touches on his material which, will hopefully be released in 2011. For those who know about the 'Bus Stop', the wait will soon be over.

Scorcher- North London's very own prince has been around for a while, but after signing a major label deal earlier this year, expect bigg things from Skywalker in 2011.

J Cole- Do I even need to give you a biog of this guy? Signed to Jay-Z's RocNation imprint the multi-talented MC has moved more mixtapes than some of your favourite artists mainstream albums! Saviour of hip hop? I'd say so!

Jay-Z And Kanye To Release @WAtch The Throne@ In 2011

Jay-Z and Kanye West will relase a joint album next year titled 'Watch The Throne'.

What originally started out as an EP which, was supposed to include 'So Appalled' and 'Monster' (both featured on Kanye's MBTF album) has now turned in to a long player due to the fact that the pair have so much material.

Hopefully this one materialises because we were promised the same a few years ago from Jay and Nas.

Samir Nasri Named French Footballer Of The Year

Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has been named french Footballer Of The Year.

The pint-sized 23 year old Arsenal star saw of tough competition from chelseas Flornet Malouda and Lyon 'keeper Hugo Lloris.

The star has so far had a very good season with Arsenal after the disappointment of not getting a call up to the French national squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the team, lead by Manchester United blabber mouth Patrice Evra disgraced themselves.

The star attributes a few months of complete rest to his fantastic form in the premiership thus far. The award was voted for by the media and former French footballing stars including Laurent Blanc, Raymond Kopa, marius Tresor, Alain Giresse and Jean Tigana.

Ja Rule Is Heading To Jail

Rapper Ja Rule was yesterday sentenced to two years in jail after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. The gun-possession case stems from a July 2007 stop and search of his car.

Police found a loaded semiautomatic gun in a rear door of the $250,000-plus car after it was stopped for speeding. The rapper who's real name is Jeffery Atkins, will be sentenced in February 2011 and begin his stint in the big house!

Weekend Round-Up

Christmas is only thirteen days away and slowly, but surely, people are starting to hit the stores! I was up Oxford Street on Saturday, and it was a MADD TING!!


Gonna be a short wrap up this week...

Matt Cardle won the 2010 X Factor final, with Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction coming 2nd and 3rd respectively.

On Saturday night we saw Cher Lloyd leave (apparently she tweeted "stuff your show, I didn't want to win anyway"), Robbie Williams joined One Direction, a thick looking Christina Aguilera joined Rebecca and an uber sexy Rihanna killed her duet with Matt.

Can we have a moment of silence for Rihanna's outfits and her 'What's My Name' performance...................

MASSSSSSSSIVE game tonight for my boys at Old Trafford. A win would take us 4 points clear of Man U and Chelsea and guarentee us top spot for Christmas!

I'm quietly confident about this one, but we shall see...

My name is Ionna, which means God's Gift.

I truly believe it's what my voice is (a gift from God...), and with a little bit more practice it will reach it's perfect point. I'm currently 18 years young, I've been looking at taking singing seriously since I was about 16, but I've been singing in church for as long as I can remember.

I truly love music, but I'm trying to stay away from the RnB scene as it's not really for me, and I have a more Neo Soul/Jazz/Electro-Pop/Techno/Dub/Indie/Contemporary and Rock sound/kind of vibe to my style.

At the moment I'm just working on getting my voice heard and developing my range. My plans for 2011 are to keep writing and release my first EP!

 To be honest, if my music entertains or helps one person, then I've made it. That's all I really want.

Uni Fees Increase From £3,290 To a Maximum Of £9,000

Everyone knew it was coming, but this is KRAZY!!!



Main points-

• Many universities are expected to charge between £6,000 and £7,000 annually, but they will have the option to charge more.

• Other recommendations in Lord Browne's report include increasing the salary at which graduates in England start to repay their tuition fees from £15,000 to £21,000.

• Universities would be able to keep all of tuition fees up to about £6,000 or £7,000, but beyond that point they would only be able to keep a diminishing proportion of the fee paid by students.

Lil Wayne To Release New Single From 'Carter IV'

Fresh out of jail, Lil Wayne will be releasing the first sinlge from The Carter IV before the end of the year.

Young Money Member, Mack Maine spoke to MTV (US) and said that the single titled '6'7"' will definitely be released before the end of December.

"We definitely dropping it before the end of the year," Mack revealed to MTV News. "We ready to go now; we getting it mixed."


Lil Wayne insider DJ Scoob Doo compared the track to frenetic fan favorite "A Milli": "Just Think A 2010 Version Of A Milli...But On [Steroids]," he tweeted.

When Will This Foolishness Stop?

The Daily Mail yesterday reported a story about some black Bournemouth FC players being racially stereotyped in a Pizza Hut restaurant.

Like most restaurants, the men (Anton Robinson, Liam Feeney, Marvin Bartley, Mitchell Nelson, who are black, and Shaun Cooper, who is white) ordered their food and expected to pay once they had finished dining. To their surprise they were asked to pay before they had received their food.

The mail reports that Mr Robinson, 24, said:

‘We ordered the food and the next thing the manager came up with the bill and said, “Would you mind paying first?" ‘We asked if that was the policy and he said no. When we asked why he had asked us, he said, “It’s the way you look”.


I know racism still exists, but this is just petty! I guess the Pizza Hut employees won't be getting any complimentary match tickets this season.

Weekend Round-Up

This weekend the snow continued to wreak havoc with train timetables.Many trains were on revised timetables, if they ran at all.

This however did not stop the masses from getting out to start or finish their Christmas shopping...

On Saturday night I attended Classics at Agenda, and OH BOYYYYYY what a night it was! Although it was cold as hell, fellas turned up swagged out and ladies looked G.O.O.D.!!

It was a proper grown and sexy affair, DJs were spinning the best in everything and everybody came with one thing in mind, TO PARTY HARD!!

If you missed it, you missed out and will have to wait until June 2011 for the next night!

As I predicted (to my friends and family...) Mary and Cher were in the bottom two of the X Factors semi-final show. EVERYBODY and their mum knows vocally, Mary is miles better than Cher, but would inevitably go going back to the tills at Tesco.

Whilst Mary belted out her final song, Cher just about made it through. I honestly thought Dannii would keep it real like she has all series long, but Ms Minogue may be thinking about her judegs spot on X Factor 2011 and decided not to put Cher through.

So the final three are Matt, One Direction and Cheryl, I mean Cher. I'm gonna predict Cher going out first, but it's hard to say who will prosper between Matt and O.D???

Guess we'll have to tune in next week to see! I wonder who the judges will line up for their acts to duet with???

TOP OF THE LEAGUE, YOU'RE HAVING A LAUGH!!!!

That's right my boys, the MIGHTY ARSENAL FC are top of the league thanks partly to- Chelsea conceding a last minute equaliser at home to Everton and Man U and Blackpools' match being postponed due to the snow.

Hopefully we can kick on from this position as we have three tricky fixtures, away to Man U, home to Stoke and home to Chelsea all coming up before the end of the year!
