Pharrell Set To Release Travel Book...

Pharrell is writing a travel book with designer Medda, called "Pharrell: Places and Spaces I've Been", the cover has just been revealed.

The book is set to be released on October 16th, and will feature contributions from Jay-Z, Ambra Medda, Nigo and Takashi Murakami

Pharrell had previously spoke to GQ about the book, saying-

"It’s just things and people that have moved me and inspired me around the world and that I am also honoured to know."

Lil Wayne To Release Prison Memoirs...

Lil Wayne's prison stint is being immortalized in book form.

Grand Central Publishing has announced that the company will publish Gone Till November, a compilation of the rapper's diaries that he kept during his eight months spent in 2010 on Rikers Island on a gun charge.

Scheduled for a Nov. 28 release, in time for the holiday season, Gone Till November will offer a firsthand account of Lil Wayne's experience in prison.

"We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne’s prison memoir," said Ben Greenberg, executive editor at Grand Central Publishing. "He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing."

The journals detail his thoughts and feelings, the people he met, his plans, his family, his hcildren, his past and his future.

What still excites me about rap is that it’s an open thread, a cipher that listeners find their own meanings in. The point of this book is not to settle arguments or transform rap songs into neat stories with a beginning, middle, and end. Rather, I’m trying to point readers to some ideas and information, get them to see deeper into the music than they saw before and learn more about worlds different from their own (or find new ways of looking at the worlds they already know)—to find their own meanings and connect them back to their own lives. I want readers to see the craft and learn the context—and I want them to still be able to feel the magic, and enjoy the show.

Common Spills The Beans On Erykah Badu...

Rapper and Actor Common has released his memoirs 'One Day It Will All Make Sense', and finally gives us some insight in to his relationship with Erykah Badu.

Common recently appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and revealed that he received a phone call from a woman he dated from 2000-2002 saying it was over.

"She handed it to me. I was in my hotel room on tour and ...she called me and was like, 'Hey, I don't wanna be in this relationship no more. I'm liking somebody else. That was my first love and my first heartbreak" the rapper said.

He did however go on to say that there were no hard feelings, and he and Badu are still friends.

"It taught me a lot of things, and when it happened I kinda really got into myself and really learned about myself and I was able to move on, and now me and E is real cool."
