Why Are Drake And Common Beefiing???

So I've had a few people and friends ask me how this whole Common and Drizzy beef started, so I did a lil' bit of investigating, and this is what I found...

1. The track 'Sweet' is released off of Commons new The Dreamer/The Believer LP. In the song Common makes reference to rappers that sing...





2. Word obviously got back to Drake, and he 'supposedly' addressed the issue whilst on stage in LA...




3. Common basically admits the song 'could' be about Drake in a radio interview with DJ/VJ Sway...




4. Drake then responds on the Rick Ross track 'Stay Schemin''...




5. Common then responds by putting his own verse on a 'Stay Schemin' remix remix...




And there you have it... I must admit, Common went INNNNN with his verse! I don't think this is over just yet.

Kanye To Release G.O.O.D. Music...

Although information is sketchy (and kinda non-existent...) Yeezy has said that the G.O.O.D. Music collective album will be dropping Spring 2012.

This should be an interesting posse album, with the likes of Yeezy, John Legend, Big Sean, Common, Pusha T and GLC (both not pictured) all contributing.

Nas Celebrates his 38th Birthday With The Homies...

Nas turned 38 yesterday, and had a lil' shindig with Common, Jay-Z, AZ, Zoe Saldana, Steve Stoute, Carmelo Anthony and Lala, DJ Khaled, Preemo and others.

Nas also shares his birthday with Amy Winehouse and made sure he took some time out to honour and remember the recently deceased star in a tweet, saying-  

"Thanks for the #HappyBirthdayNas love... Don't forget my sis #HappyBirthdayAmy!"

Nice touch.

Common Spills The Beans On Erykah Badu...

Rapper and Actor Common has released his memoirs 'One Day It Will All Make Sense', and finally gives us some insight in to his relationship with Erykah Badu.

Common recently appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and revealed that he received a phone call from a woman he dated from 2000-2002 saying it was over.

"She handed it to me. I was in my hotel room on tour and ...she called me and was like, 'Hey, I don't wanna be in this relationship no more. I'm liking somebody else. That was my first love and my first heartbreak" the rapper said.

He did however go on to say that there were no hard feelings, and he and Badu are still friends.

"It taught me a lot of things, and when it happened I kinda really got into myself and really learned about myself and I was able to move on, and now me and E is real cool."
